Over the last several days, we've gone from digging through HRC's records as First Lady to documenting her lies over Tuzla to making the obvious sniper-fire jokes.
Starting today, it's time to connect the dots on Hillary's duplicity. She misspoke? Since February. And repeatedly last week? Working from a printed speech? Mispoke? My ass, unless she's got the same tic that McCain does everytime he talks about al Q'aeda in Iran.
She lied. Like a rug. Repeatedly. Loudly and longly. With a self-deprecating chuckle.
Join me below, and let's talk about what HRC's cheerfully delivered pack of lies spell for a nation at war.
I'll grant you, there's something inherently funny about being publicly outed by Sinbad.
Funny, too, to see the video of HRC there on the tarmac in Tuzla, making nice with eight-year-old Bosnian death merchant Cindy Lou Who, the smallest and least threatening global assassin on the planet.
Hell, I've been laughing all weekend about avoiding sniper fire.
But there's a bigger problem on the table than the lies here, as egregious as those have been.
It's not just that Hillary has taken liberties with the truth. No.
It's that she's taken liberties with the truth on a matter of foreign policy. About a trip taken in the face of war.
Hillary is asking the American public to believe that she's ready from Day One. That when that phone rings at 3 a.m., she's the one with the experience and judgment to do the right thing.
Let's set aside the enormity of the lapse in HRC's judgment evidenced by her vote to give Bush the authority to go to war.
Hillary has now demonstrated that she's willing to exxagerate. To obfuscate. To repackage the key elements of breaking events to fit her version of the truth. To heighten the drama. To lie about events occuring in the face of wartime.
Let me repeat that. To lie about events occuring in the face of wartime.
She's telling lies about events occuring in the face of wartime.
A trait she shares with her buddy McSame. A trait she shares with GWBush. A trait she shares with Dick Cheney. A trait she shares with Don Rumsfeld.
Hillary has now proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that she is more than willing to lie -- cheerfully -- about events occuring in the face of wartime.
Pair this with her vote to go to war and her "judgment" speaks for itself.
Tie it to the pattern of bald-faced lying by our leadership to push us into military and diplomatic actions we would otherwise never engage in, and Hilllary's lies, delivered with a chuckle, become as sinister as they really are.
Lies in the face of wartime.
Bush did it.
McSame's doing it daily.
HRC just firmly ensconced herself as part of the pack of thieves.
Lies about sniper fire?
No.
Lies about events occuring in the face of wartime.
The cost of the last set of lies occuring in the face of wartime? 4,000 American dead. 500,000 Iraqi civilians. At least $1 trillion.
Mere sniper fire?
No.
It's time to connect the dots.
